If you’re going to die penniless and alone, you should probably get a hobby. And if your hobby(ies) become all-consuming, you should probably think about making a career out of them. I’m Emily, and that’s what I’m doing. Here, I’ll anecdotally catalog and acknowledge all the little gems that inspire me. I expect a bit about knitting, craft, life in NYC and a lot about the creative process as I experience it. Blogging OLD MADE just may be the key to living the creative and fulfilling life I’ve dreamed of. It is also a required homework assignment.
ASSIGNMENT 1B (and I’m paraphrasing here)
- Start a blog
- Maintain the blog
- Make it interesting (verbatim)
Great. Parameters. A good place to start.

love both oblogatory and old made. thanks for sharing your creative process. It is indeed interesting.
I love this piece. Between your witty writing and that beautiful typeface, even I feel secure. Nice Temple Grandin reference.
What a wonderful blog site. I will check it often for new inspiration. How do I CHANGE THIS FONT TO TRADE GOTHIC??????
Very cool scarf! I could tell right away that it wasn’t a real fox.
You’re quick like a fox, Tom.
Signing up for site updates so I can read Oldmade with my morning coffee.
That’s a lovely endorsement. Thanks for your interest, Marian.
Like you, Emily, I too look forward to living a long life, and allowing Creativity to be the “Driving Force” that moves me forward in that life…it is truly the best ” Sanity Therapy” I know of…You’re a very smart woman, and I’m so glad to know you. Hope to one day sit in the same Creative Space with you.
